Public transportation is not the fastest travel option between Detroit Metro Airport and the city, but it is the cheapest. Bus line 261 runs every 30 minutes and makes only a few stops to and from the airport. The bus stop is located in the centre of Detroit, here you can transfer to the Detroit People Mover and the tram QLine (opened in 2017). In Downtown Detroit you can get off the bus at Woodward + Clifford SB (Grand Circus Park), travel time is approximately 60 minutes. Bus service FAST Route 261 (Fast Michigan Service) runs from North Terminal via McNamara Terminal to the centre of Detroit.
